Prairie Point Elementary School

Dear Prairie Point Families and Community,

 

We are all so excited to be beginning another school year at Prairie Point....and for me, an especially meaningful one as I begin my 10th year as principal of this incredible school. I truly feel blessed with this opportunity each day.

 

There is so much I love about Prairie Point, but what makes this school truly special is our people. Our students, families, teachers, staff, and community have created a place where children are known, cared for, challenged, celebrated, and supported. We have an incredible team of educators who show up each day ready to do whatever it takes to help our students thrive.

 

At Prairie Point, we believe that all students can and will be successful. We know that success looks different for every child, and our job is to meet them where they are, help them grow, and make sure they know there are adults in their corner every step of the way.

 

Academics matter deeply to us, but so does the kind of community we create together. We want our students to be curious and excited about learning, to take risks and make mistakes, to discover what they are capable of, and to know that school is a place where they belong.

 

We also want every Prairie Point student to understand what it means to be safe, kind, and responsible....not simply because they are our school expectations, but because those qualities help children grow into wonderful classmates, friends, and people.

 

As we begin this new year, please know that you have a dedicated team here for your child. There will be exciting days, challenging days, big accomplishments, little victories, and plenty of learning along the way. Through all of it, we are committed to partnering with you and supporting your child with whatever they need to be successful.

 

After ten years, I am still just as excited to welcome students through our doors and begin a new year together. Thank you for sharing your amazing children with us and for being such an important part of the Prairie Point community.
